1963 nahm Tenorsaxofonist Harold Vick sein einziges Album als Leader für Blue Note auf, das unterschätzte Soul-Jazz-Juwel „Steppin’ Out“. Die Platte findet vom ersten Downbeat an ihren Groove und bleibt während des gesamten Sets mit Blue Mitchell, Grant Green, John Patton und Ben Dixon am Kochen.
